About Tony Stewart
Having trained and worked as a high school teacher, Tony first became enthralled with photography while travelling. Returning to New Zealand from adventures in close to 60 countries, he took the opportunity to diversify his career by retraining at Christchurch Polytechnic.
Much of Tony's work is split between Mid Canterbury and Christchurch, with frequent trips to other parts of the country. Tony's photography is largely based about wedding and commercial commissions. Added to this schedule, Tony tutors part time in the photography department at Christchurch Polytech (CPIT).
Of personal photographic interest are South Island landscapes. The wealth of opportunity about the South Island of New Zealand constantly provides new material for display, be it for commissions, calendars or cafes.
