Description
My Passion with motorcycles began when I was only 10 years old. My Uncle Jim gave me a 98 cc Villias Junior Deluxe engine to play with, Which was supposedly knackered! However a bit of fettling soon had the little engine purring like a kitten!
From that day on I have always had motorcycles whether for sale or just my own pleasure. I served my six year Mechanics apprenticeship at Parkers Motors, Grange-Over-Sands. An old fashioned apprenticeship such as this, covered mechanical, electrical, bodywork/paintwork and coach building on cars, Buses, Wagons, Motorcycles, Garden Machinery.
This apprenticeship stood me in good stead as in 1966 I started my own business selling and repairing cars and motorcycles, at modest premises located in Dalton-in-Furness, Cumbria. Later years saw a change in direction and I decided to specialize in the sale and repair of garden machinery. With a by now growing private collection of classic motorcycles to keep me busy in my spare time. A move to larger premises saw business escalate. In 1990 I was approached by a business colleague with an interest in purchasing my garden machinery business with the intent of moving it to the Windermere/Kendal area.
