Description
This is a short introduction about me and my history with animals and dogs. I have always been very keen on animals. My first pets were rabbits which I had 2 and my first rabbit lived to be 9 years old. Horses have also been part of my life when I was a child. I started riding lessons when I was 7 years old and that hobby with horses continued to the age of 12. Today horses a still one of the most beautiful animals to my mind, but unfortunatelly I dont have the time to start riding again.
I got my first dog at the age of 7 years. Lola, the little spicy girl, was my best friend and she taught me how deeply an animal can love. She showed me the meaning of unconditional love. Lola was a miniature pinscher and she lived to be 15 years old. By the time Lola was in afternoon of her life I had another dog, Nuka. Nuka is a mixed breed dog filled with love. She simply loves everyone and everything! Nuka´s mother was a mixture of siperian husky and finnish deerhound, the father of Nuka is unknown. There was a whippet male living in the neighbourhood so it could be that Nuka´s father is a whippet..Nuka is now 13 years old, but the age is not an issue to her. She still plays and runs like a young girl! In 1995 I saw my first pharaohhound. I was looking for a new dog into my life and the breed I was mainly thinking of was pincher. Everything changed when I saw a pharaohhound running gracefully in the ring - my heart and soul was sold to this beautiful breed instantly.It didn´t take long that I had my own pharaohhound - only 6 months after the show I carried a little red dog to my home. My journey with pharaohhounds had started.
My first pharaohhound, Noora, is bred by kennel Scheik´s and she is now 10,5 years old grand old lady. Together with Noora I got to know the showbusiness and we didn´t do bad at all, considering that we were beginners when we started. Noora has broken records as a showdog all her life. The most memorable showwins are her groupwins, which she has got 4. Not forgetting her Best in Show 4 placement in veterans in all breed show 2005. She is a star. And the light of my life.
