The Pet Supply House humbly began its evolution as a 1200-sq.ft. pet food and supply store in small town Milton Ontario, The owner, Mike Pollard actively bred and exhibited English and Gordon Setters under the “Cheviot Reg’d” name giving him exposure to everything from show grooming to field trialing. His background gave him a different perspective on the world of dog supplies than that of a typical pet storeowner. It became his obsession to source unique and hard to find products for professionals and enthusiasts.
After a few years of rapid growth it seemed that it might be a good idea to put together a small photocopied catalogue and mail it to kennels and clubs in the area. Booths were set up booths at many local dog shows and trials, always striving to supply the special needs of their customers.
Today The Pet Supply House is Canada’s largest supplier to dog and cat professionals and enthusiasts. It now occupies a new 24,000-sq.ft warehouse and showroom in picturesque Guelph Ontario, the home of Canada’s largest Veterinarian College. The small photocopied catalogue has developed into a glossy, full colour catalogue containing thousands of products for Cats and Dogs that is mailed to all parts of Canada as well as the United States, Europe, Japan and Mexico to name but a few.
