Description
All I have ever wanted was a good looking working dog. I have found this and much much more in the Chesapeake and have spent over 25 years trying to perfect it. In all these years I have enjoyed tremendous success in field trials, working tests and showing. I have never had anyone ask me for an ugly stupid dog!! Although it is impossible to make up a champion in the UK I have bred over 20 champions for delighted owners worldwide. In the UK Penrose dogs have won Top Dog in the breed for most of the years that I have competed with them.
Arnac Bay Dawnflight Of Penrose was my second Chesapeake and the first Chesapeake to win a British Field Trial award, Dawn went on to win 12 Field Trial awards. I have successfully competed in Field Trials with two other Chessies and have won hundreds of working test awards. Today I use my dogs for picking up on shoots in Wales.
