I used to keep pens in the ashtray, glove box, sometimes in the console. My pens would end up on the floor, under the seat, sometimes down between the seat and the console and out of reach. More times than not it seemed that when I needed to write down an important phone number or address, a pen was no where to be found.
I lost it! in more ways than one. I began to think of ways to keep a pen handy in the car.
I cut a piece of wood to approx. 2"L x 1"W x 3/4"H , drilled 2 holes in the side, lined the holes with a foam rubber material and glued on a metal clip from a broken remote control garage door opener.
