About Us
We are a Portuguese non-profit education organization dedicated to informing and educating people about the rights of all animals. We advocate respect and dignity for animals and try to heighten awareness of the need for humane treatment of all animals.
Although part of the European Union since 1986, Portugal is among the most retrograde countries when it comes to animal treatment. For example, it is estimated that our country has near one million homeless pets. In a country with approximately 10.5 million people (and 92.000 square km) this is a very big number. That is why we also actively support and promote spaying/neutering to help reduce pet overpopulation.
