About Us
Pecket Well College is located in the picturesque little village of Pecket Well on the outskirts of Hebden Bridge. The college was started more than 20 years ago by a group of people who wanted to develop their basic skills. Unable to cope with a traditional college syllabus they had the drive, ambition and foresight to form their own college, initially renting the old Pecket Well Coop building.
Then 5 years ago having raised sufficient funds and with a very generous donation from the Lottery these same people bought the building, realising their dreams and giving Pecket Well College a permanent home.
Because of the history of the college and the reason it was initially formed, The College has an in-depth understanding of the educational needs of the community.
