Parrot & conure world forum is a bit hard to use 'freely'. They're somewhat strict with what you can say & advice you can give. They edit legit posts to suit them & alienate people if they do not agree with what they have written. The site itself seems to appear great but I would certainly avoid using their forum until they have become a little more 'friendly' towards their own members.

I have been posting in parrot and conure world forum for a number of years now and I am beginning to see more and more people leaving. The forums editors and owners have had a number of complaints form members but have ignored them. That is fine, it is up to them if they choose to do this but more people are coming in & having their questions unanswered because the members who usually help out are feeling as though their posts are going to be deleted, or edited in some way, legitimate helpful links removed and so on. I am very disappointed in the forum itself but still post, only to help those who ask a question, not to help the forum. There is also a local Avian Veterinarian on board who has got somewhat a terrible 'bedside manner' when it comes to replying to other peoples posts of recommendations for people who ask a question. This is very off putting. What is more off putting is the avian vets words are the last words to be said and heard, whether anyone else likes it or not, whether the other posters are correct in their information or not. What the avian vet says is final and others cannot prove their point or post a reply to defend their actions in their posts and this is very unfair. Posts will simply be removed and a reminder post will be put up to state 'Dr B'. is an avian vet and only he knows what is right, no one else does and we cannot question him nor can we say our own information based on scientific studies or our own experiences. As far as the forum is concerned this is not acceptable.
