Title
Parent to Parent of New York State connects and supports families of individuals with developmental disabilities and other special needs
Description
We are a statewide organization known for supporting families of individuals with special needs. We believe in the power of parents helping each other learn about their child’s special needs, about their schools and education, about their community, about needed services and about their child’s ability to access adequate health care.
There were 12,051 people in contact with Parent to Parent of NYS for information and resources during 2004. We assisted 950 parents with one-to-one parent matches and trained 160 parents to be Support Parents.
