Oyster Point Hotel | Boutique Hotels | Red Bank New Jersey

Description

GUIDED TOUR

Long before the Europeans landed on the American continent, the Navesink Indians inhabited the territory along the Navesink River in what is now Red Bank, New Jersey. A tribe of the Lenni Lenapi family, the Navesink settlement cultivated oysters on the banks of the river. Over the years, discarded oyster shells formed a thirty-foot mound at the river's sharpest point. Since 1704 the site has been known as "Oyster Shell Point."

Today on this very point stands a beautifully appointed hotel with a commanding view of the Navesink River. Providing a tranquil, waterside setting, The Oyster Point Hotel is a great year-round destination point.
