About us
Oxfordshire Trading Standards Service provides quality services to residents and businesses across the county. It employs over 50 staff and is based in County Hall Oxford. It is responsible for the enforcement of a wide range of legislation controlling the advertising, marketing, distribution and supply of goods and services throughout the manufacturing, importation and service delivery chain. The Service's remit covers: -
A Service and Performance Plan is produced annually, that includes a Food Law Enforcement Plan. These plans contain key priorities that support the five strategic objectives of the County Council and the four national Trading Standards priorities below which seek to create: -
Trading Standards is committed to working with others and has formed successful and beneficial partnerships with many organisations. The Consumer Support Network for Oxfordshire is led by Trading Standards and includes many of the County's CABx and Advice Centres to improve access for consumers to obtain advice about their legal rights.
