About us
Outlook South West was formed in 1998 mainly as an organisation providing primary care mental health services. Since that time we have expanded to provide mental health clinics in GP practices across Cornwall. We have also gone on to become involved in psychological services in a range of other settings.
Kevin Simpson MPsych CPsychol
Kevin is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and has been practicing since 1982. Initially specialising in psychotherapeutic work with individuals he went on to head the clinical psychology learning disabilities service in Cornwall. In 1998 he co-founded Outlook South West and clinically has developed an interest in applying cognitive therapy and EMDR for a range of common mental health problems. He enjoys coastal walking with his wife and two large dogs, listening to alt-country and following the ill starred progress of Derby County football club.
Catherine Collin MSc CPsychol
Catherine qualified as a clinical psychologist in 1984. After 10 years of NHS experience in learning disability and mental health she became an independent practitioner. Catherine specialised in group work and interpersonal skills training before developing her special interest in primary care mental health. Combining her interest and skills in business development and cognitive therapy she became a founding partner in Outlook South West in 1998. Catherine lives in Fowey with her husband and three young children and enjoys yoga, art and sailing.
