O So Minnesota?
Well, it's an eclectic sort of website, a one-man operation. As such, it represents my own view of Minnesota, and especially the Metro Area, and even more especially, Saint Paul. I'm a recent arrival here, having moved to Saint Paul from California in 2004, along with my wife, who grew up in Coon Rapids. Her parents live in Maplewood, and there are cousins and other relatives scattered over the entire Metro area.
I love Minnesota already, and hope to offer a unique perspective on my newly-adopted state. I'm 60 years old and semi-retired, although I do have a business showcasing homes for sale on the internet (click my photo on the Home Page to learn more). For most of my working life, I was a writer for a range of magazines from Seventeen to PC World. My first visit to the Twin Cities was to call on the offices of The Family Handyman, a magazine, then based in Saint Paul. I wrote lots of woodworking articles for them back in the 1970s and early 1980s.
My wife and I live in the North East corner of Saint Paul, in a nice 50's rambler, along with our three cats, Butthead, Scout, and Miss Beasley. We plan to spend the rest of our lives here. Since my wife is partly of Norwegian ancestry, I now consider myself a Norwegian by marriage. Uffda!
