On-Disk.com was originally created as a live, portfolio site to showcase Webpath Technologies eCommerce and hosting capabilities. Due to the success On-Disk.com has achieved, it has become Webpath's primary focus.
Webpath will be the first to admit they were pleasantly surprised that On-Disk.com became a thriving entity. They didn't really know what we had until customers started arriving and buying from a site we hadn't advertised.
Since the first order was shipped on September 26, 2003, they have been working hard to expand their services and excel in every area.

- Price. The prices are calculated based on the supplies used and the time it takes to acquire the download and burn your disc. It is not based on a “going rate,” or what they feel people are willing to pay. To arrive at the prices they calculated the cost of media, bandwidth, time and other basic supplies. Shipping costs are calculated the same way.
- Giving Back. Whenever you see a price over $4.99, know that you are helping support independent thinking. When a Software or Digital Media Developer submits a product to the catalog, they choose the selling price. The support your purchase provides is paramount to keep some of these open source and independent developers operating.

- Media – Only name brand, industry-leading media is used for our burns. While there are less expensive choices, there is no advantage to creating 'coasters'
- Printing – A full-color system prints directly to the disc. No black and white Stickers here.
- Shipping – Each order is shipped in a rugged black plastic case to ensure your order arrives safely – even overseas.
- Advanced Technology - Created their own "Live!Burn!" CD/DVD burning software to insure every disk is perfect. This software uses FreeBSD and the "burncd" command.
