In 1993, Joe Wolken and Son Nguyen, both working in the IBM AS/400 document imaging software organization, saw a need for an independent company with strong technical expertise that could respond quickly with customer focused solutions. Complex projects often required development of custom software components or the integration of IBM and non-IBM products. With this in mind they formed OAS Corp. in the Spring of 1993.
