Delaware River Railroad Excursions
The Delaware River Railroad Excursions in Phillipsburg New Jersey are operated as a partnership between the NYSWTHS and the Black River and Western Railroad. the entire operation is operated on a volunteer basis.
The New York Susquehanna & Western Technical & Historical Society Inc. was formed in the fall of 1988 by several longtime observers of the railroad who felt that there was a need for an organization to preserve the history of the "Susquehanna, its ancestor corporations and the rich railroading history of New Jersey.
Since that time, the Society has grown to over 550 members from 30 states, Canada and New Zealand. The society is incorporated in the state of New Jersey as a non-profit educational organization. It is also recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt organization, as defined in section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
