- The Nutman was started in 1982 - 1983 by a gentleman that moved to the Vestal, NY area with his family. He working from an idea of providing healthy and wholesome quality snack foods, such as nuts, dried fruits and candies. He also provided local businesses the opportunity to provide staff and customers a quality product and fundraising opportunity. The business was sold in 1990, to another local businessman who operated a coffee business as well as the candy. He integrated the Nutman into his coffee businesses until he retired in 1999.
