Description
In December 1998, nurse Carl Elbing and his brother Mark launched Nurstoon.com to showcase some of Carl's cartoons published in The Journal of Nursing Jocularity. The site became quite popular among nurses and others thanks to what Carl described as "all of you out there with a sense of humor as twisted as ours" and Carl went on to create and publish hundreds of cartoons on the site in his spare time while working as a nurse and educator at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. In March 2013, a new and redesigned version of the site was launched in a partnership with MadLab Healthcare.
