Excerpted from the website:

Well folks, I told you that you would see AI in a Nuggets uniform by the end of the weekend. Well thanks to a surrogate flood gate of mitigating factors, my prophecy has come true and thus THE DENVER NUGGETS boldly thrust themselves into a whole new era of operations. Fitting, that just last night, I completed the Nuggets Franchise Transaction Page, which documents every single move this team has made since 1976. And after throughout picking through all the big time trades the Nuggets have ever made, I can firmly assure you that this trade that is set to become official today, is the SINGLE BIGGEST TRADE IN DENVER NUGGETS HISTORY. Sans Carmelo, following the "grapple at the apple", the Nuggets were looking at a half empty arena and a slew of doubts as the team began its journey through better than 15% of the regular season without our best player. Yup, it may seem real strange, but maybe the brawl was somehow a blessing in disguise. Before the fight and subsequent suspensions that so brutally followed, the Nuggets saw no reason to really jam in that panic button. The key to this deal was Andre Miller. The Sixers have long coveted Miller's overall value and up until the Nuggets were shred apart by the suspensions, there were too many reasons not to give in to Philly's desire. Well there certainly is now. Especially after the Clippers came in within the last few days and upped their bid to obtain Iverson's services. The Nuggets simply could not let this one slip by. It was lock, stock, panic button time. And hey if you have to resort to a panic button, what better result than to add a first ballot hall of famer to the roster. It took two long weeks, but after all is said in done, after all the pieces fell into their just place, it was clear that the Nuggets were simply driven to make this happen. Maybe it was the threat of even more depressing attendance figures? Maybe. The Nuggets were the only team in the NBA with a winning record to be out drawn by the local hockey team. The Nuggets were in the low 20s in overall attendance to this point in the season, and with the suspensions there was obviously apt reasoning in assuming that the trend was only about to get worse if something wasn't done. Something tells me there wont be an excess in empty seats from here this point on. As long as you can offer up the two top scorers in the whole NBA on one team, people are going to be paying attention both in and outside of the arena. Bottom line, there was no going back. Zero hour. Panic. Excitement. Salivation. Progress. Props to who gets the AI Nugget jerseys in the stores the soonest. Will DerMarr give up his number? Well lets face it, he doesn't have a choice in the matter. Because this team now has a new leader. He may not be the centerpiece, but he sure is a power player. Melo, AI, Camby. Now that's an unquestionable three headed monster. On top of it all, Nene is still here so the Nuggets wont lose their only low post presence. All is done and the Nuggets have instantly made themselves the talk of the sports world. Not just basketball. The sporting world. Here's one thing to think about, don't think for a second that another factor in this decision was the stat line that future #1 overall pick, Greg Oden put up just the other night. 44 points, 25 boards, 7 blocks. Domination. That certified man-child is the 76ers objective here. And they know that even with the worst record in the history of the league, if the ping pong lottery balls aren't friendly then your ace is mulled and your up a creek with a toothpick for a paddle. So I think the Sixers to an extent made themselves make a move in order to solidify as many assets as a team can possibly have. Don't think for a second about believing that the Sixers aren't gearing their future towards Oden. With 3 picks in the first round, even if you don't get the number one pick, you certainly have the tools to make a deal. This is it folks. This is the dawn of a new era of Nuggets basketball. 12/19/06 3:33 pm
