- Nozzlmedia began in 2008 when a group of journalists and programmers in Portland, Oregon, began to chart a new course for localized, on-line journalism. They envisioned a scalable model incorporating traditional news aggregation, deep search, microblogging, and original content to create a more robust news stream than any previously available. They developed the tools needed to manage the breadth and depth of information in the stream - user-determined filters, a high level of mobility, and cross-platform access.
