Between moves, he earned a B.S. in philosophy and worked as a pizza maker, newspaper reporter, Radio Shack salesman, landscaper, house painter, American history teacher, president of a software startup, technology consultant, technology manager, and parking valet (1 day). In addition to his writing, Orcutt now provides consulting services for Fortune 500 companies and teaches writing at Baruch College in Manhattan.
