Noriegaville is one of the few - if not the only - news site about Panama in English that takes a critical look at the country and its affairs. We're not hyping real estate nor are we describing the country as a paradise. We practice journalism, not salesmanship. News and investigative journalism are mixed with lighter subjects, satire, and acid opinion. Our stories are always on the edge, and meant for people who think independently, want to be informed instead of sold, take their own decisions and form their own opinions.
Noriegaville is read daily by foreigners who are interested in moving to Panama or already live here, local and foreign politicians and journalists, the business community, oligarchs and progressive young and connected people in Panama. We reach an audience that looks very critically at the traditional media and the world around them.
Noriegaville News brings you news, but is not a newspaper. We do not claim to bring you comprehensive coverage of Panamanian events. There are a lot of things happening in this country that we simply ignore. We bring news, but we don't bring all the news. We take a certain pride in bringing you stories that the mainstream media of Panama choose to ignore, and we have built quite a reputation in doing so. Recently, our coverage of the Prime Forestry teak swindle and a Bocas del Toro pedophile scandal were carried extensively by the Panamanian media, for example.
