Science and Service

NOAA is an open source of information for many areas of global importance:

Ecosystems: NOAA monitors the balance of resource usage in order to preserve nature.

Climate: NOAA collects information on climate trends over time, analyzes these trends, and provides public information on its findings.

Weather and Water: NOAA tracks and provides information on weather and water cycle events and issues warnings in cases of storms, droughts or floods. Stay up to date on current conditions for any location. NOAA operates through the long arm of the National Weather Service, or NWS.

Commerce and Transportation: NOAA uses its findings to ensure that travel 'safe, efficient, and environmentally sound.'

Research: Browse through a variety of research on topics ranging from climatogology to commerce.
Oceans and Coasts: Products, services and information related to a variety of coastal and oceanic regions. Includes a variety of navigation tools (charts, warnings, methods, etc.). NOAA encompasses the Office of Marine and Aviation Operations (OMAO)

Stewardship
