Born in Las Vegas, designer Nicholas Kniel lived in Germany and Michigan before calling Atlanta 'home' 17 years ago. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in fashion design from the American College, Nicholas designed couture evening and wedding gowns. He also created visual displays for large companies and couture boutiques. Nicholas's creativity and eye for detail also led him to millinery and interior design.
Nicholas Kniel - Embellishments for You and Your Home opened its doors in the summer of 2000. The Nicholas Kniel boutique is not only a retail establishment, but also serves as a design studio for Nicholas and many other designers and artists. Since its opening, this intimate boutique has offered vintage and couture adornments to many visitors.
Nicholas Kniel created a unique ambience for his shop - combining styles from the Victorian and Art Deco eras with a modern twist. Once entering the shop, you may feel as if you've been transported to Paris or New York. The displays of rich ribbons, vintage buttons, exotic feathers and elegant masks are a true feast for all the senses. Nicholas Kniel is known for his vast selection of quality European couture and vintage embellishments, which along with his exquisite selection of ribbons, buttons, feathers, flowers and masks will inspire any imagination to create beauty.
