Having spent her earliest years in Denton, Texas, Meera Dahiya was raised and educated in Kansas City, Missouri. She has since made Plano, Texas 'home' --for herself, her husband, her two children, and her dental practice. While in Missouri, Dr. Dahiya completed her Biochemistry undergraduate degree in 1991, earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri in 1995, and made the move to Dallas for a one-year general practice residency at the VA Medical Center there. During this time, she taught general dentistry at Baylor College of Dentistry as well as carrying out her responsibilities with her residency.
Areas of special training include a 3-month Oral Surgery externship at Baylor College of Dentistry, 5 months of Oral Surgery Assistance work at Cape Giradeau prior to graduation, and a number of special courses in Cosmetic Dentistry through continuing education courses and workshops.
Dr. Dahiya's evident dedication to her patients and her practice is excelled only by her deeply rooted commitment to home and family.
