Study business English and academic English on NGB's web-site; courses, materials, multimedia, links, hints and help for students and teachers.
The site is a teaching site used both in England at the University of Exeter, and also at the University of Graz, Austria. The snap-shot of the frontpage here is outdated, as the site has been running a Moodle, a learning environment based on OS software since 2004. It is also linked to a RealNetworks media server, [1]. This still hosts the pre-Moodle content plus all the media content, for which Realplayer is required.
In addition to current courses delivered in blended learning mode to business undergraduates, teacher trainees of business, postgraduate students on the IMC MBA programme ([2]), as well as seminar participants of teacher training courses, self-study materials are available for registered users for studying academic and business English. E-learning materials include e.g.: E-Minimaxes, which were authored in cooperation with York Associates ([3]) for clients such as Henkel and several Fachhochschulen in Austria; Talking Academics, which were developed as a cooperation between the University of Exeter ([4]) and K.F.University Graz ([5]); Talking MBAs were developed in cooperation with the School of Business and Economics in Exeter ([6]); Key Terms in Finance were co-authored with York-Associates for Credit Suisse. The site also contains pre-published versions of research undertaken on the EdD programme at the School of Education, University of Exeter. Associations also exist with [7], [8] and [9].
