Gerard Uijtendaal (1964) is Managing Director of NewMarkets International Accountants & Consultants. Based in Moscow, he heads the fast growing practise in Russia. He graduated from The Hague School of Business as Certified Public Accountant. He is highly specialized in Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Finance issues in emerging markets. He started his consulting career in emerging markets working for a Consultancy firm as Associate with a strong focus on mergers and acquisitions in the central European markets. In 1995, he joined BDO, where he became responsible for international M&A within BDO Corporate Finance. As member for the management team, he was one of the leading forces in its growth of the firm into its position as market leader in the mid-market segment.
