Description

Founded in 1989 and incorporated as a California corporation in 1990 by S. Tao Yeh and J. Marx Ayres, Netix was started as an internetworking software firm focusing on Unix platforms. Netix's first generation of connectivity products include the NetWorker-7000 and PC/MH (a Internet message handling system) which delivered to the Internet community a viable solution to bridge the connectivity and interopability gap between the personal computers and the Unix systems---this was 5 years ahead of the Win95 family of products. Part of our PC/MH effort was documented in RFC1204, published by the Internet Activity Board (IAB) and Defense Communications Agency. Inspired by the Internet commercialization in the early 90s, Netix easily took advantage of its internetworking resources and experience by incorprating Internet services focused on the high performance Unix servers and high speed networks for the business communities. We also call ourselves the "ISP of ISP" because we have helped many people become ISPs. In addition to our Internet services, we are also Unix system integrators: we have helped many of our connectivity customers build their mission-critical, high-performance, reliable and scalable Internet servers and other general purpose enterprise servers.

Netix prides itself on value and service. We know that a packaged all-in-one solution at the system level is what the business world wants from network service vendors. We at Netix provides services from server software to server hardware, from security products to user-level application programs, from routing devices to telco products, from system planning to system administration. When you employ Netix, you are assured of immediate access to an operational network.
