Neill-Wycik first opened its doors to students on August 15, 1970. The initiative to create Neill-Wycik started in 1966 and was spearheaded by Kathy Whalen and a small group of motivated Ryerson students. The goal of the co-op back then was to provide affordable student accommodations and offer a student controlled enviornment in which they could develop. How little things change.
