Description
The Nebraska Green Party is part of a global political movement which seeks to enact change through democratic, non-violent, grassroots, non-corporate means. It is a member of the Green Party of the United States.
The Nebraska Green Party is a small but swiftly growing party. In the 2004 election three Congressional candidates, Roy Guisinger, Steve Larrick and Dante Salvatierra garnered a total of over 10,000 votes statewide. It is currently gathering signatures to regain ballot status in the entire state.
Our party maintains its platform and makes its political decisions based on our Ten Key Values rather than the values of corporate donations. We believe that the Democratic and Republican parties primarily serve the interests of big business and the fickle whims of national polls.
