Something you should know: These pictures on this page are really old, from like, high school and early college. But I'm too lazy to remember how to change them. Sorry.
I'm Anita Marie Kelley. That's Irish, German, and a little bit of Polish thrown into the mix. (My last name would have been Rokowski had my great grandmother gone with the flow and married the father of her child, and we all would have followed suit and taken his name. Well, hooray for women's rights before they were popular, but I think Anita Rokowski sounds a lot more interesting than Anita Kelley!) I'm a regular American mutt. I'm told my other names came from a girl my mom babysat when she was 18 and 19, which is when I came along. She told the mom she was naming me Anita because she liked that name, and the mom was like, :okay cool, go for it, my daughter's name's the bomb!" (Or however they talked back in 1980.) Then I was born and my mom gave me the middle name Marie and the mom of the girl she babysat was like, "no, my daughter's middle name is Marie, you can't give her the exact same name!" Sounds like she was a bit psycho to me, but it makes for a funny story everytime someone asks me why I'm a white chic named Anita.
