Description
The Emirate of Fujairah, one of the seven emirates forming the United Arab Emirates , has witnessed a rapid rate of economic and social development and tourism activities. After the emirate had completed its infrastructure, it set out to implement its ambitious development plan to achieve the optimal exploitation of its resources and to extend the base of industrial, commercial, and agricultural production. The historical importance of Fujairah dates back to the period before the birth of Christ. It was known in the old ages as the land of sea giants.
The Emirate of Fujairah lies on the eastern part of the Arabian Peninsula bordered from the east by the Omani coast, from the west by the emirates Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah. From the south lies Kalba. Fujairah extends 70km along the Gulf of Oman from Ousla village to Dibba to the north.
