- My mother and I are Cherokee, Blackfoot and Cree Native Americans. My grandfather on my mother's side was a full blood Native American. We started going to the festivals in 1992, and will continue going for as long as we live. We have made friends all over the world and we still do to this day. We make new ones all the time. I am Jesse Wilbanks I started as a traditional dancer now I am a grass dancer. I have been a grass dancer for about 10 years now and enjoy every minute of it! My mother is a traditional Lady's Southern Cloth Dancer. She dance's when she can and when her health permits her to.
