- A key challenge that must be overcome, in order for true holographic animation to move from the laboratory to consumer markets, is the development of a nanoscale mechanism to translate electromagnet computer output into microscale moving rays of light. This is where nanoholographics applies. Holographic invention is constructed on the illumination pattern generated by interference between two overlapping illumination rays: a “signal” (or “object”) shaft that retrieves information that was recorded within optical storage media; and a “reference” shaft. The three-dimensional illustration created by this light pattern is a “Hologram.” Holographic technology is a critical part of the general discipline of interferometric technology.
