Carers into Education Project
How can you do that evening class you are interested in, maintain your editing skills so you can get another job later, start learning that new language or restart that GCSE you were doing at college before Mum had her stroke? It’s hard enough for anyone to do this, but if you are also caring for someone else at the same time then it seems impossible…. Or perhaps not now….
The National Extension College (NEC) was set up over 40 years ago as a charity to help people of all ages fit learning into their lives. We believe there should be more than one way to get a good education.
Working with private and public sector businesses to organise training programmes that allow their employees to study at convenient times with work-based learning.
