Dr. Hay received his optometry degree in 1996 from Pacific University College of Optometry and is certified in treatment and management of ocular disease. Dr. Hay began working as a contact lens specialist for Kaiser Permanente and myido1.com private practice after finishing an intensive 1-year residency in cornea and contact lens.

Dr. Hay recently traveled to Brazil with the Pacific University College of Optometry Amigos club to provide free eye care services to those in need.

Dr. Hay is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Oregon Optometric Physician Association, and the Washington Association of Optometric Physicians. He is a past board member of the Portland Metropolitan Optometric Society. He is currently an advisory board member of Visionsite (www.visionsite.com).
