About Us
At MYO, we strive to expand the knowledge and experience of Yoga and wellness. We created MYO in 2005 as an alternative resource center for Yoga, health, and wellness. We designed MYO with the intention to provide a convenient, affordable, and flexible Yoga program, all of which are key factors in helping Yoga participants maintain a regular practice.
We have brought together a wonderful group of teachers full of experience, joy, and passion for Yoga. We are continually expanding our practices by finding the best teachers who can complement MYO’s diverse program. All of the teachers at MYO come from a strong Yoga, Pilates or meditation background. All completed long-term teacher training, have years of personal practice, and during the course of their careers as Yoga and Pilates teachers, have acquired additional specialized training and experience to further enhance their teaching expertise. We all come from a place of having experienced the personal transformation that Yoga and Pilates has created for us. We have also witnessed time and time again the profound, life changing effects Yoga, Pilates and meditation has on other people. We look forward to seeing the continual expansion of our video library and information sections as well as the physical, mental, and spiritual growth of our members.
Kreg Weiss is a certified Hatha Yoga Teacher having completed hundreds of hours of training in Yoga anatomy and philosophy. As well, Kreg has deeply expanded his knowledge with years of studies in Kinesiology and Exercise Science at the University of British Columbia. Kreg has made Yoga his passion and his life’s purpose, thus providing a genuine commitment to sharing his extensive knowledge and experience with colleagues and the public. Kreg has taught to thousands; much of the appeal of his Yoga teaching comes from the unique style developed by his own personal practice, the inspiration of his Teachers, and connecting to the needs of his students. The creation of MYO was the next evolution in Kreg’s teaching allowing him the ability to share his knowledge and inspiration towards self-discovery. MYO has proven to be an invaluable vehicle for many of his students providing convenience and accessibility, thus encouraging his students to maintain dedication and consistency in their practices.
