- Over 40 years ago, one of America's first overnight color photo labs was opened in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia by the Showalter family. The grandson of one of the founders, Allen Showalter, is today the President of our company, Showalter Imaging Group and leads a staff of over 30 people in 5 states . Mr. Showalter is a member of the Treasurer of the Photo Marketing Association International, past Vice President of the Digital Imaging Marketing Association and President of the Dixie Division of PMA. As well as a member of the prestigious Buck Rogers National Photo Finishers Group. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Independent Photo Imagers, a nationwide group representing over 600 businesses. He is also a Certified Photographic Consultant and a member of the Society of Photo Finishing Engineers. He is an author and frequent speaker on the creation and printing of digital photographs. He is also the originator of the "Showalter Formula" used by photographers worldwide for posing large groups.
