- At this time, I am not actively working in real estate. I've been called back to duty with the United States Marine Corps. Currently, I'm deployed to Western Iraq as an adviser to the Iraqi Army. I miss my family and Hickory, but I'm a proud American and am honored to be playing my role in our country's defense. I will not say that my job is without danger, but the media puts a very dismal spin on the progress being made over here. We are at war with extremists hiding within the Iraqi population, not the Iraqi people. The people of Iraq have suffered more war related death since 1979, the start of Saddam Hussein's reign, than Americans have since 1776. One in ten Iraqis have died due to the actions of their government since 1979. I hope that they will soon be able to enjoy the basic joys that we take for granted; food on the table, relative safety for their children, education, and most of all freedom to live good, productive lives. I live, work, and fight beside these good people; I know them well. Like us, they have a proud history. Please pray for them and all the US Service Members that are sacrificing greatly for their future and the future of our nation. I have traveled all over this world, and I can say there is no place greater than America... the land of the free and the home of the brave. Never take our blessings for granted. Thank God every day that you live in such a wonderful place.
