- Thank you for your interest in Girl ~ tastic Grand Galas. My name is Sophia Stanton , and I own and operate Girl ~ tastic Grand Galas. My husband, a Native Texan, my two daughters, and I moved to Texas after my husband retired from the United States Navy after twenty years of service. I am also a Navy veteran, having served for nine years. Before moving to Texas, I worked as a Social Worker for seven years in Child Welfare Services investigating child abuse and neglect and advocating for the needs of children. My dream is to be a proactive presence in the lives of children , and event planning will provide me the vehicle to continue to do it.
