- Welcome to my dogs have fleas. Simon and Shelly are Cocker Spaniels, and Scarlett is a Shih Tzu. Both Cockers came to us through Pets Inc. and Scarlett was given to us by a family that was unable to care for her. Needless to say, they are the best thing since sliced bread! And just for clarity, even though their "given" names are Simon, Scarlett and Shelly, they have many other names in which they answer to. For exmple, Simon is also known as: "Chuck", "Love Lump", "Blondie", "Nubbin", "Lumpy", "Morgan", "Butter Bean", "Butter Ball", "Buster Brown" and believe it or not there are more. Scarlett has fewer names and she mainly refers to herself as "Bartlett Pear". But "Princess" is probably more fitting. Shelly is our newest doggie and we're still working on nick-names for her. It takes a little time to really understand their personalities!
