- Musiqtone is an online music news & media site founded by two students from Indiana's Purdue University in 2002. Originally called MusicMania and changed to Musiqtone in 2005, it's original aim was to cover the mainstream in a 'fair and balanced' manner and in 2003 added coverage into indie and underground music, giving way to the current line of 'balanced focus;' covering the mainstream, indie, and the underground. This focus gives today's music fan unprecedented access into the music industry. In addition, Musiqtone has links to various music sites, online music magazines, and other resources as well as offering advice and the know-how for indie and underground acts to make their mark in their craft.
