- In the southeastern portion of the Iberian cape lies the spectacular Costa Calida , literally meaning 'the warm coast.' The Costa Calida's beachfront stretches 250 kilometers long, starting from the Carolina beach in Aguilas up to the coast of El Mojon on the frontier of Alicante . In between the two opposite endpoints are quaint villages like La Azohia and Cabo de Palos , which are equally ideal for day tripping and sight seeing. Mazarron is another place to fill up and satisfy your discriminating stomachs and tongues with scrumptious Mediterranean dishes. Not to be forgotten is the La Manga del Mar Menor , a blissful area flanked by two seas with seemingly absolute beaches and crystal-clear waters. At the northern boundary of Costa Calida is the Costa Blanca. Likewise, at the southern peripheral is the Costa de Almeria .
