- Rad-Heat is a unique patented radiant heat product employing modular tiles as a flooring underlayment. They allow radiant floor heat tubing to be installed above the floor decking where it is most efficient and does not jeopardize floor sheathing while at the same time avoiding the job interruption mess and framing changes required by poured in place systems. Rad-Heat panels offer easier leak repairs should they become necessary and do not require drilling floor joists to route tubing. They are only 8 pounds per square foot and rarely require additional framing over standard design. Because they are made from cement, they offer thermal mass to store heat and evenly continue to gently radiate heat even when water is not flowing through the tube to heat them
