Nearly 50 years ago we used state-of-the-art equipment for carrying out piling works at the London Tilbury Docks. Today, Mowlem has a fleet of modern piling rigs and diaphragm walling equipment and we offer a complete service from investigation and design to construction and maintenance.
We have, for example, extensive experience in the use of polymers, instead of the more widely known bentonite for excavation stabilisation in diaphragm walls and large diameter piles. We have been using polymers for over six years and has demonstrated their efficiency and cost benefits to the many contractors and employers involved. Polymers are environmentally friendly in their use and subsequent easy disposal is a further benefit compared to traditional materials.
