Move to the Future is a Cambridge based residential estate agent that currently covers Cambridge City and South Cambridgeshire down to as far as Royston Hertfordshire. Through a combination of innovative business practises and cloud based systems, Move to the Future will increasingly provide a more integrated approach to property sales by integrating the functions of estate agent and conveyancer for both the property seller and buyer.
The intention is to bring lower estate agent and conveyancer fees without loss of service, provide more flexible and tailored estate agency and conveyancing services, with a guaranteed quality of service and a major and continuing improvement in property sale transparency.
The company initially launched a commercial proof of concept just 8 weeks before the beginning of the credit crunch in 2007 and as a consequence mothballed the company until the subsequent recession started to abate in mid-2010, only to find that this was a false dawn.
Rather than retreat again the company is using the rigours of the present difficult housing market to hone its skills and product offering to home owners and buyers. The ultimate result is a marked improvement in the value for money, quality of service and transparency of the house sales process.
