Headquartered in Bridgeport, West Virginia, Mountain V was founded in March 1994 by Steve and Mike Shaver and is a successful, privately owned oil and gas production company. Mountain V was formed with the intent to acquire and develop oil and gas reserves in the Appalachian Basin, with particular emphasis in West Virginia. With over 40 years of combined experience in acquiring, developing and managing oil and gas properties, the management team of Steve and Mike Shaver has led the growth of Mountain V to where it is today. Mountain V currently owns and operates 290 oil and gas wells on approximately 30,000 proven acres in West Virginia.
Acknowledged as a young and rapidly growing oil and gas company, Mountain V has been recognized by the World Oil Reporter and the Department of Environmental Protection for its outstanding drilling and reclamation Practices. Mountain V has exhibited high technical standards in selecting well and acreage acquisitions and drilling prospects. With each acquisition, Mountain V has increased production of existing wells by an overall average of 45% through improved engineering planning and efficient field operations.
Mountain V has grown from drilling 2-5 wells per year to drilling 30-40 wells per year. We continue to work hard to ensure the success of ourselves and our business partners. We attribute our success to outstanding management and the good people that we work with.
