- , Francis and Russell Moore. The family has a long history in the auto salvage business starting with Russell's grandfather, Loren "Shorty" Hackett, who operated Rapid Auto Salvage during the 20's and 30's. Francis first began tinkering with cars in the 1930's when he put together his first Model-T with parts salvaged from the city dump grounds. From early on, Russell shared his dad's passion for collecting and working on old cars. He was taking apart and assembling cars at an early age and by high school, he was acquiring his own collection of classic cars.
