Modern Ceramics Company is a private Australian company incorporated in 1999 to undertake research into new ceramic materials and their applications particularly in relation to anti-ballistic armor.
We quickly determined that, while aluminum oxide was readily available, there was an unfulfilled worldwide demand for low-cost armor-grade silicon carbide and boron carbide.
Our plate is now being used by the armed forces of six countries (and several police forces in Australia, America, Asia and Europe and has been tested in combat).
